If permissions are not correctly set, AUM will not be able to create Updater6 and will fail to check and show any updates. If Updater6 is not already present, AUM attempts to create this folder under “/Library/Application Support/Adobe”. On launch, AUM first checks for the presence of Updater6 folder under “/Library/Application Support/Adobe”. Adobe Update Manager (AUM) requires this value to be 775. This incorrect permission has been observed on Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, but AUM on any prior Mac OS versions can also run into this issue if for some reason admin group doesn’t have write permission on “/Library/Application Support/Adobe”. Apple Disk Utility's 'Repair Disk Permissions' function does not correct this problem, which is why the above command line correction is required under these circumstances. Then continue with the next section.Incorrect permissions are set for /Library/Application Support/Adobe during installation on some machines.

Follow the steps on the screen to install.

Double-click Creative Cloud Installer icon.

Double-click CreativeCloudInstaller.dmg.

Click the large blue Download button on the next screen.

Find the Creative Cloud app and click Download under it.

Open a web browser and go to the Adobe Download Center. You may need to sign in with your Adobe ID and password.

If you haven’t run any Adobe Creative Cloud apps on this computer, you'll need to load the Creative Cloud Installer first.

Drag frequently used apps (not folders) to the dock.

You’ll find new apps in the Launchpad and Applications folder.

If possible, avoid opening any Adobe apps until all apps have been installed or updated.

Or click the gear icon and Uninstall if you no longer need the app.

Click Install or Update across from it.

Click Apps and find one to update or install.
